MP accuses Jubilee, Kenya Power of doing shoddy job

Kuresoi South Member of Parliament, Zakayo Cheruiyot, on Monday, July 10, raised concerns over quality of step up and step down transformers installed by the Kenya Power company in his constituency terming them as substandard due to their high rate of malfunction.

This comes days after residents of Keringet, Bararget and Tinet, Kuresoi South Sub County complained of alleged discrimination in the last mile connectivity.

The Legislator said that the transformers and wiring system were substandard.

“Two of the transformers brought have exploded so far. These transformers have also been installed in many places here in Kuresoi,” said Cheruiyot.

The MP added that previously, such issues were never experienced until the last mile connectivity project.
