MP Alfred Keter arrested over fake Ksh.633M Treasury bills

Nandi Hills Member of Parliament Alfred Keter was on Friday morning arrested for allegedly forging CBK treasury bills worth Ksh.633 million.

Keter, together with two directors of Desai Industries; Arthur Sakwa and Madat Chafur were arrested by Anti-Banking Fraud Unit sleuths as they waited to meet CBK director Patrick Njoroge.

They had allegedly been invited to meet the CBK Director as part of the process of redeeming the bills said to have been issued in the 90s but were instead ambushed by the anti-banking fraud unit detectives.

They were taken to CID Headquarters for interrogation.
