MP alleges Turkana County discriminating Jubilee supporters

Turkana South Member of Parliament, James Lomenen, has criticized the County Government of Turkana over alleged discrimination against supporters of the ruling Jubilee coalition.

Mr Lomenen alleged that supporters of Jubilee are not adequately served or not served at all when they seek services from public offices managed by the county government.

Speaking in Lokichar Town, Lomenen said residents allied to Jubilee Party have complained to him that they are receiving cold reception owing to the fact that Turkana is governed by ODM Governor, Josphat Nanok.

Residents, especially business people, have complained that they are not awarded tenders to work with the County Government of Turkana because of their allegiance and those who win tenders are all alleged to be ODM supporters in Turkana.

The MP said it was wrong for the county government to discriminate people based on their political inclination.

Lomenen added that Turkana is just perceived to be an ODM region and during this election Jubilee candidate,
John Munyes, who is eyeing for the Turkana gubernatorial seat, will unseat Mr Nanok.
