MP arrested for disrupting Cabinet Secretarys function

Shinyalu Member of Parliament, Lisamula Anami, was on Saturday, July 15 arrested for questioning in connection with the disruption of an event in the area presided over by Cabinet Secretary for Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs, Sicily Kariuki.

Anami was later set free shortly after Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale visited the Kakamega Police Station after learning about the MP’s arrest.

Police arrested the MP at a road block Saturday morning as he left a church at Khayega market.

Speaking after his release, Anami reiterated his claims that the National Youth Service (NYS) event by CS Kariuki was being used as a campaign in favour of Jubilee.
