MP David Gikaria arrested, released on bail over land fraud
Nakuru Town East Member of Parliament David Gikaria was on Monday arrested and arraigned at the Nakuru Law Courts over land disputes.
The MP was presented in court after being grilled at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) offices in Nakuru.
Appearing before Principal Magistrate David Mararo, Gikaria, who is accused of grabbing several parcels of land in Nakuru, was charged with eight counts of land fraud.
He denied the charges and was released on a free bond of Ksh.3 million or an alternative cash bail of Ksh.1 million.
The case was set for mentioning on January 30, 2019.
