MP Godfrey Osotsi wants cardiology hospital set up in Vihiga

Nominated Member of Parliament Godfrey Osotsi has assured residents of Vihiga that a cardiology hospital will be established in the County.

Speaking during a fundraiser for a project to set up a cardiology centre in the Western Kenya county, Mr. Osotsi assured locals that he would rally donors to support the project.

The MP noted that a high number of youth and the elderly had succumbed to heart related complications, hence a need to set up a centre to deal with heart diseases.

“Our youth and women are dying in large numbers due to heart-related diseases. As one of your leaders I will ensure that a cardiology centre is established in this county,” said Osotsi.

The lawmaker donated Ksh.100,000.

Meanwhile, the MP is pushing a Bill in the National Assembly to have a sports academy established in every county.

According to Mr. Osotsi, this would ensure the youth are engaged in constructive activity hence keeping them off drugs and crime.
