MP Sheds Tears As She Visits Bereaved Family

The MP could not hold back tears after visiting the family that had lost four of its members through an inferno

Wambui who was accompanied by Laikipia Women Representative Jane Apollos wept uncontrollably after being told how four children were burnt to ashes

Family members of the bereaved were forced to comfort the emotional MP.

The bereaved family lost their four children in a fire incident on Sunday morning

Those who died in the inferno were two girls Sharon Kihara 6, Ivy Wairimu 5, and boy twins Lewis Kigo and Collins Wachira aged 3.

The four children perished in the fire after being left behind by their parents who had gone to a nearby church.

Efforts by neighbours to put out the fire were futile as the 5 roomed timber house was reduced to ashes.

The children were burnt beyond recognition by the fire.

The MP said the government will help in offsetting burial expenses as well as help rebuild the house.

The two MPs called upon the county governments to ensure that every constituency has a fire fighting engine machine to respond to fire emergencies.

The family has now been left with a 6 month old baby girl, Teresa Muthoni.
