Msambweni MP Suleiman Dori buried in Kwale
Msambweni Member of Parliament Suleiman Dori was buried on Monday at his rural home in Gazi, Kwale County.
The ODM Party legislator died on Monday morning at the Aga Khan Hospital in Mombasa where he was undergoing Cancer treatment.
His body was moved from his home and taken to a mosque for the final prayers before he was buried at around 4.30pm.
Hundreds of mourners came out to attend the burial which was graced by a number of political leaders led by area Governor Salim Mvurya.
President Uhuru Kenyatta’s message of condolence was read out by National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale, while ODM leader Raila Odinga’s tribute was conveyed by Suba South MP John Mbadi.
Other leaders present included Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi, ODM Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna, Kwale Senator Issa Juma Boy and Lamu Woman Representative Ruweida Obbo.
Also present were MPs Aisha Jumwa, Mishi Mboko, Khatib Mwashetani, Benjamin Tayari, Paul Katana, Michael Kingi, William Kamoti, Kassim Tandaza and Omar Mwinyi.
