Munya hits out at gov’t for closing IFMIS
The Council of Governors (COG) chairman Peter Munya on Saturday accused the Jubilee Government of closing down the Integrated Financial Management Information system (IFMIS) before the year ends.
Speaking at Meru the National Park where he hosted investors, Munya stated that many counties had not paid the ongoing projects before the system was shut down.
He added that most counties were experiencing financial constrains and were therefore unable to pay the salaries of county workers.
The IFMIS was scheduled to be closed at the close of the financial year on Tuesday June 30, 2015.
