Muranga: Cop arrest suspect who defiled, impregnated his 13-year-old daughter

A 35-year-old man accused of defiling his daughter repeatedly before impregnating her has been arrested by detectives at his Kigumo home in Murang’a.

The matter had been brought to the fore by the girl’s teacher who noticed that the girl appeared unwell.

According to a police report, the head teacher at Gatumbi Primary school took the pupil hospital where it was discovered that the girl was 6 months pregnant.

Preliminary probe indicates that the father started defiling the school-girl since July 2020.

The girl has since been rescued and is under the care of a children’s officer at Muthithi-based rescue centre.

The suspect is in police custody awaiting their arraignment in court.
