Muranga man slams 9-month-old son on floor, kills him after fight with wife

A man from Muranga County is in police custody after he allegedly killed his 9-month-old son.

The 48-year-old Muranga man from Kagumoini village is currently being held at Kabati Police Station.

Reports indicate that Francis Muiruri slammed his son on the floor after a serious argument with his wife over food.

Muiruri is said to have come home and asked for food but after his wife failed to serve him, he attacked the toddler.

He allegedly slammed him on the floor, killing him instantly.

DCIO for Kandara Peter Muguika said the body of the boy was taken to Gaichanjiru Mortuary awaiting post-mortem.

The Muranga man is being held by police for further investigations.
