Murkomen urges Uhuru to meet NASA co-principals

Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen has called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to meet with National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principals Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula.

This comes amid disquiet in the opposition coalition following talks between Opposition chief Raila Odinga and President Kenyatta that saw them bury the hatchet and pledge to work together in matters Kenya.

While lauding the two leaders for their courage and statesmanship, Murkomen observed that there was need for President Kenyatta to meet the other co-principals who were absent during the Harambee House talks adding that the leaders have openly expressed interests to meet with the Head of State.

Murkomen was speaking during a thanksgiving ceremony at St Patrick’s High School in Iten where he rubbished claims that Raila’s move to work with Uhuru may scuttle Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 bid for presidency.

“There should be no worry about Ruto’s 2022 ambition because it is all sorted out. Nobody knows what we talked with Raila and should not speculate falsities, ” said Murkomen.

Murkomen hinted of an engagement plan between Raila and Jubilee which he said would be revealed soon.
