Musalia Mudavadi downplays significance of Jubilee launch

Amani Coalition Leader Musalia Mudavadi has downplayed the Jubilee merger launch describing it as being of little impact, further comparing it to the famous Kamkunji rally in 90s as an example of a fail.

Speaking during a funeral mass for the late Stephen Leiyan Pertet, a father-in-law to Cyrus Jirongo in Ololulunga Narok South, Musalia also distanced himself from accusations that he was being used to split the Luhya vote.

In his message Musalia urged voters to elect wise leaders who were accountable come 2017 General Election so as to enable them reflect a peaceful co-existence amongst Kenyans.

Echoing his sentiments, Vihiga County Senator Joe Khaniri termed the merger as unprioritised, adding that the money used during the merger should have been put to use in other areas f the republic.

John Muriithi Waiganjo, MP for Olcholorok challenged the opposition to merge and support Musalia so as to stand a high chance of winning election, dismissing claims that ODM leader Raila Odinga is the top presidential contender.

Jirongo however chose to stay away from politics, citing respect for his in-law as pertains to the Luhya tradition to honor the dead.
