Musalia Mudavadi to appear in court Monday

Amani National Congress (ANC) leader, Musalia Mudavadi, is set to appear testify against Kisii Senator Chris Obure and others on Monday, September 19.

This is after the trail magistrate issued summons to Mudavadi to appear in court and give his testimony in the multi-million shilling Anglo Leasing scam.

Mudavadi is listed as a prosecution witness.

In the case, the Kisii Senator is charged with abuse of office and conspiracy to defraud the government.

He is charged alongside former Postmaster General, Francis Chahonyo, and former Permanent Secretaries, Dave Mwangi and Sammy Kyungu.

Also charged is former Financial Secretary, Samuel Bundotich and former State officials, Joseph Magari and David Onyonka.

They have denied the charges and are out on a cash bail of 1 million shillings each.

They are charged with abuse of office over a contract signed between the Kenyan government and three US companies to supply internet services in 2003.
