Muslims to celebrate Idd Wednesday after moon is sighted

Muslims will celebrate Idd-Ul-Fitr on Wednesday marking the end of Holy Month of Ramadhan after moon was sighted in Wajir, some parts of Somalia, Tanzania and Comoros Island.

Chief Kadhi Sheikh Ahmed Mudhar announced the end of the Holy Month Tuesday evening in Mombasa.

On the other hand, the Chief Kadhi sent a message of love, tolerance and unity among the Muslim faithful.

In Mombasa, Muslim faithful will hold a special Idd prayer at Ngala Primary School led by Chief Kadhi Sheikh Shariff Ahmed Mudhar to mark the end one month of fasting.
