Mutahi Kagwe’s father is dead


The father of Nyeri Senator Mutahi Kagwe is dead.

Mr. Kagwe Mutahi died at the Karen Hospital where he was receiving treatment after he was admitted on Tuesday last week after being diagnosed with stroke.

Mr. Mutahi, who died aged 83 years, is survived by his wife and five children (three sons and two daughters) – including Senator Kagwe.

The retired civil servant embarked on small-scale farming and businesses and worked for several private companies upon leaving the government.

Residents of Mukurwe-Ini’s Kaheti village described him as a man of the people who was committed to service and mindful of their welfare.

His five children are all university graduates and employed in various sectors while others are in private businesses.
