Muturi: Mps Will Not Honour Idiotic Court Orders

The rivalry between the Judiciary and the legislature rose a notch higher on Tuesday after the speaker of the national assembly warned that the legislature will not obey any court orders that are unconstitutional. The statement by speaker Justin Muturi comes just two days after the Chief Justice Willy Mutunga warned lawmakers against disregarding court orders. Muturi blames the current spat between the judiciary and parliament on the chief justice whom he accused of leading the judiciary in judicial activism.
