My life is in danger, CORD MP claims

Nyando Member of Parliament Fred Outa has claimed that his life is in danger after reporting seeing men clad in police uniforms at his house Saturday night.

The CORD MP affiliated to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) said he received calls from his neighbours when he was away in Kisumu after they spotted the men at his house.

He added that the men refused to speak to his security guard.

He is now appealing to the Kisumu police boss to clarify whether the men were police officers and give information regarding their apparent ‘visit’ that was made without his knowledge.

The CORD legislator further called on the inspector general of police, Joseph Boinnet, to investigate the matter saying the ‘officers’ suspicious activities are worrying.

“If I have done something wrong, it should be communicated to me officially and I should be called to record a statement. Such unwelcome visits by officers in my home are suspicious,” he said.

The CORD MP is set to record a statement at the Kisumu Police Station on Monday, accompanied by his lawyer.
