Mystery suspect in Tob Cohen murder at Kitisuru home

Police have arrested one more suspect in connection with the murder of Dutch billionaire Tob Cohen.

Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti on Friday termed the killers as ‘heartless’.

“We have 2 suspects so far and we are going to arrest more. Anybody who was involved in this gruesome murder shall not be spared,” said Mr. Kinoti. “But there are more who are involved, not just two.”

The identity of the second suspect is still a mystery as detectives remain tight-lipped.

The second arrest came hours after detectives discovered the decomposed body of Mr. Cohen inside an underground water tank at his Kitisuru home.

Police said the second suspect was with Mr. Cohen the night that the murder took place.

Sarah Wairimu Cohen is the main suspect in the murder case.

She was arraigned on Thursday but did not take plea as she is yet to undergo mental tests.

On Friday, the DCI said they secured the home immediately Mr. Cohen was reported missing.

“From the onset when this matter was reported to us, I immediately ordered this place be preserved as a scene of crime. We knew reasons why instinctively we had to preserve it as a scene of crime,” DCI Kinoti said.

“We never wanted to leave anything to chance, we have widened the net to make sure this crime is not covered at all. There is no perfect crime,” he added.
