Nairobi building cordoned off as police conduct sweep after bomb scare

The Doctors Plaza in Parklands, Nairobi, has been cordoned off from members of the public following reports of a bomb scare.

A sweep is presently being carried out in the city building after a note was reportedly left warning of an explosive within the premises of the establishment.

According to Nairobi Police boss Philip Ndolo, the note was left on the 5th floor on Thursday intimating a plot to bomb the building.

Bomb experts as well as officers from the Anti-Terror Police Unit (ATPU) have since been dispatched to the scene to contain the situation.
