Nairobi: Man in court for stealing underwear

A man was on Monday arraigned at the Milimani Law Courts in Nairobi for allegedly stealing clothing at a Nairobi supermarket.

The court was told that Evans Kobiero Sewe stole two pairs of inner wear worth Ksh.480 and Ksh.450, a suit worth Ksh.8,495 and shoes valued at Ksh.3,995, a shirt, T-shirt, socks, a tie and three vests. The total cost of the items was valued at Ksh.17,810.

It is alleged that he committed the offence on November 1, 2018 at Tuskys Supermarket, Imara branch along Tom Mboya street in Nairobi.

The accused denied the allegations before Nairobi Senior Principal Magistrate Martha Mutuku.

He was released on a bond of Ksh.20,000 with an alternative of Ksh.10,000 cash bail.

The case will be heard on December 3, 2018.
