Nairobi suffers acute water shortage

Residents of Nairobi will continue experiencing water shortage until Friday, September 16 after the Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company (NAWASCO) shut down the Ngethu treatment plant for maintenance.

The affected areas include, the whole of the City Centre, University of Nairobi main campus, Coca-Cola factory, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, EPZ Athi River and areas along Mombasa Road.

Other affected places are the whole of Industrial Area, areas along Juja Road, Jogoo Road, Outer Ring Road, Kangundo Road, Thika Road, areas along Limuru Road, Karen, Mountain View, Naivasha Road and Kangemi.

Water supply will resume Friday at 6:00pm.
