Nairobi: Woman attacks police officer, bites off his ear after argument on curfew violation

A police officer is nursing injuries after he was attacked and wounded by a woman for questioning her why she was outside beyond curfew hours in Nairobi’s Lang’ata area.

According to a police report on the incident, the officer identified as sergeant Moses was walking towards Bypass Patrol Base at around 8pm when he came across the woman and asked her where she was going past curfew hours.

An exchange of words ensued before the furious woman jumped up and held the officers head firmly and bit off his ear.

“She bit his right ear cutting it completely. After noticing that she had injured the officer, she ran towards the river bordering Lang’ata and Kibera . The injured sergeant picked the piece of the ear which had fallen down and proceeded to Nairobi West Hospital,” reads the report.

The officer is admitted at the surgical ward where he is expected to undergo an operation to reconstruct the ear.
