Nakumatt Ukay closed indefinitely following floods

Nakumatt Holdings Limited has suspended operations at its Ukay Center Shopping Mall branch in Westlands indefinitely following floods that were occasioned by heavy rainfall last evening.

In a statement to newsrooms on Sunday, the supermarket chain stated that the branch that had previously operated around the clock would remain closed indefinitely as they seek a solution to the problem.

“We are closely collaborating with our Ukay Centre landlords among other stakeholders who are onsite assessing the situation,” read the statement in part.

The heavy rains that have been pounding various parts of the country have resulted in widespread destruction and loss of life in different parts of the country.
