Nakuru: 10-year-old girl raises alarm after witnessing father stabbing mother to death

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Nakuru are presently pursuing a man who allegedly stabbed his wife to death, a crime that was reportedly witnessed by their daughter.

John Mburu Njuguna reportedly accosted his 34-year-old wife at the gate of their homestead around 9pm on Wednesday night.

The suspect is then said to have driven a sharp knife through the woman’s neck before leaving her for dead.

The couple’s 10-year-old daughter witnessed the incident and raised alarm, upon which neighbors rushed to the scene and tried to help but the woman died before they could get her to hospital.

“The suspect who managed to escape the wrath of his irate neighbours is still being sought, with a team of Nakuru-based detectives pursuing the case,” said the DCI.
