Nakuru Assistant Chief commits suicide

An assistant chief from Subukia in Nakuru County has committed suicide under unclear circumstances.

Milimani assistant chief Joseph Waweru is reported to have hang himself inside his house at Kijabe village near Subukia shrine at around 3.00PM Friday.

His body was found dangling inside the house which was locked from inside.

According to Police, the assistant chief had removed his shirt and left a note indicating that he should be buried on his father’s farm where he was living.

Waweru was in the news last year when he was caught by police drinking while in official uniform  at Kabazi Trading Centre where he owned a pub.
