Nakuru Governor under fire over resources distribution

Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugu has come under sharp criticism from area leaders over alleged marginalization of some areas in allocation of resources and distribution of development projects.

Kuresoi South Member of Parliament Zakayo Cheruiyot says Governor Mbugua has deliberately left out some areas from his development agenda.

Cheruiyot further alleges that the areas mostly left out are those that are under mebers of the opposition.

The legislator now wants the County Government of Nakuru to put in place measures to ensure equitable distribution of resources.

Speaking at Tegat village while inspecting development projects in the area, Cheruiyot condemned the incident at Salgaa along Nakuru – Eldoret highway a week ago where a Ksh 50 million firefighting truck was torched by angry residents over resources distribution.

The legislator added that the cause of the incident at Salgaa needed be investigated fully with perpetrators brought to book.

He also expressed regret over the Ksh 200 million Wi-Fi installations in Nakuru town that will be paid by local taxpayers yet they were not consulted.
