Nakuru: Man kills sister, 8, over Ksh.800

Police in Njoro, Nakuru County have arrested the parents of an 11-year-old girl and are hunting for her brother who allegedly beat her to death for stealing Ksh.800.

According to neighbours, Damaris Muthoni was found dead on Monday and her body had visible injuries suspected to have been inflicted by her 20-year-old brother.

The child reportedly stole Ksh.800 but returned Ksh.300 after her brother, 20, inquired about the cash which prompted him to beat her senseless.

Attempts by the neighbours to intervene were allegedly thwarted by her parents which forced them to force their way into the house where they found the lifeless body on a bed.

The assailant. second-hand clothes dealer, is said to have ran away after the incident.

An eyewitness told Citizen Digital that the girl’s parents were having lunch outside and did not report the incident to the police or the area chief.

DCI officers from Njoro arrived at the scene and took the body to Egerton University funeral home.

Njoro OCPD Charity Dorcas said that they arrested the parents and have launched a manhunt for the brother.
