Nandi leaders accuse NASA of recruiting IEBC, Judiciary in its favour

Blame game on election unpreparedness continues to unravel even as candidates solicit for votes 26 days to the August 8 General Election.

Jubilee leaders from Nandi and Uasin Gishu Counties have accused NASA of colluding with IEBC and Judiciary to postpone the August polls.

Speaking at Kiptuiya during a Jubilee rally, the leaders led by Nandi Senator Stephen Sang faulted Judiciary for playing to the tune of NASA.

Mr. Sang said that the people of Nandi are ready to vote and give mandate new team of leaders that will transform the county.

He accused NASA of playing blind game in conjunction with the Judiciary and IEBC to delay the August General Election. According to Sang, NASA is not prepared to face off with Jubilee in this year’s election.

“NASA is trying ways and means of postponing election as a result of their unpreparedness,” said Senator Sang.

He urged the Judiciary to avoid being used by the opposition to interfere with the electoral calendar which is strongly stipulated in the Constitution.

“We want to ask the Judiciary not to interfere with electoral calendar and allowing yourselves to be recruited by NASA into their schemes of rigging elections,” said Sang.

“We expect that IEBC will manage elections so as to allow peaceful transition after election on August 8,” he added.
