Narok Governor Samuel Tunai Campaigns for Kajiado Central JAP Candidate

Leaders from the Maa community, led by Narok Governor Samuel Ole Tunai on Tuesday held campaigns for Jubilee Alliance Party (JAP) candidate Patrick Tutui ahead of the forthcoming Kajiado Central by-elections.

Speaking at a public rally held at Ol-Muny Primary School, Ole Tunai asked the constituents of Kajiado Central to come out in large numbers on the material day and show their solidarity with President Uhuru Kenyatta by electing Mr Tutui.

Mr Tunai further stated that he was send to represent Jubilee governors and senators in the campaigns and make sure the coalition wins the March 16 by-election.

CORRUPTION

The Kajiado Central parliamentary seat was left vacant following the appointment of Joseph Nkaissery as the Interior Cabinet Secretary replacing Joseph Ole Lenku in a ministerial shakeup aimed at resolving the security situation in the country.

Tunai has in the past weeks come under sharp criticism from the Narok Senator and a section of Members of the County Assembly following allegations of misappropriation of county funds and cases of corruption in the county government.

Other leaders present at the rally were Samburu Governor Moses Lenolkulal, Kajiado Speaker Johnson Osoi and several MCAs.
