NASA calls crisis meeting to iron out issues ahead of planned oathing

National Super Alliance (NASA) Co-Principal Moses Wetangula has moved to assure that plans to swear in NASA leader Raila Odinga are still on course despite the delay in dialogue by the Jubilee administration.

Speaking from Trans Nzoia County, Wetangula further announced that NASA summit will meet on Monday 15th, January to iron out issues within the coalition and provide way forward on the planned oathing.

The opposition outfit continues to send mixed signals over the January 30th, 2018 oathing with the Wiper brigade preferring to go slow over the plan.

The Ford Kenya party leader however insisted that the coalition summit is relentless to push on should calls for dialogue fail.

“ I urge all those who can make it to Nairobi to come because we won the election and we must swear in Raila Odinga.” said Wetangula.

The leaders said that among other issues they want on the table include devolution, police reforms, electoral reforms as well as independence of institutions that have since been allegedly threatened under the current regime.

“We as NASA, are ready to dialogue with them. Failure to that, we will continue with our plans.” said Wetangula.

Western politics also came to the fore with the Ford Kenya leaders faulting president Uhuru Kenyatta for failing to include Water CS Eugene Wamalwa in the list of the six CS’s who were retained.

“You have seen what has happened to us here in Western, to our young man Eugene, he has been left out.” Said Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa

“I will be at the fore front to swear in Baba.” He added.

US Ambassador to Kenya Robert Godec has been engaged in shuttle diplomacy meeting with both the government and opposition leaders to forestall the planned oathing that threatens to divide the country.
