NASA principals security withdrawn Kalonzo

National Super Alliance co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka claims the government has allegedly withdrawn security details attached to all NASA principals.

Speaking to the media at his Karen home in Nairobi just hours to the planned swearing in, Mr. Musyoka said the bodyguards withdrawal is ill intended.

“Every security detail was taken away. But this is a very important struggle and we are still consulting. The media is seriously under attack and now the remaining security detail assigned to us has been taken away. These are matters we must tell our people,” said Musyoka, who was accompanied by Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua and Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana.

The Wiper leader further termed the abrupt withdraw of police deployed to Uhuru Park Grounds where the NASA ‘swearing in’ event is set to take place as “tactical”.

When asked whether the ‘oathing’ ceremony would still proceed, Mr. Musyoka remained non-committal saying: “I don’t want to say about that right now. This tactical withdrawal by the police, we don’t know.”

Musyoka, however, urged their supporters gathered at Uhuru Park to remain calm and maintain peace as the opposition chiefs discuss the way forward.

NASA principals are now set to hold a crisis meeting in Karen.
