NASA tables ‘evidence’ of Raila’s August win

The National Super Alliance insists that opposition chief Raila Odinga won the August 8 election with a margin of more than 200,000 votes.

Speaking during a presentation of what they termed as the authentic results of the August 8 presidential election, Nominated MP Godfrey Osostsi claimed that Odinga won the election after garnering 8,041,726 votes as compared to President Uhuru Kenyatta‘s 7,775,428 votes.

Mr. Osotsi also claimed that Odinga won in 28 counties.

This is different from IEBC’s official results which indicated that President Kenyatta won the election with 8,203,290 votes (54.27 percent) against Odinga’s 6,762,224 votes.

The electoral commission results also showed that the president garnered more than 25 per cent in 35 counties while Odinga garnered 25 per cent in 29 counties.

Siaya Senator James Orengo said that the results in NASA’s hands are “authentic, unpolluted and unadulterated.”

“This is the document that contains the results of the elections in 2017 in which more than 80 per cent of Kenyans turned up to vote. It also shows why IEBC had to withhold results from 10 polling stations and alter them,” said Mr. Orengo.

The Senator also said that the document contains results from all the constituencies and wards and the code of each region.
