NASA yet to file petition hours to deadline

The National Super Alliance (Nasa) has until midnight tomorrow (August 18) to file a petition at the Supreme Court challenging President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election.

Nasa lawyers failed to file the case as anticipated today amid reports of frantic efforts to assemble evidence to support claims of widespread electoral fraud in Tuesday’s election.

The Supreme Court has introduced changes to fast-track the petition.
