National Assembly Resumes Sittings Today

The house has resumed  to oversee Constituency Development Fund disbursement.

The Members of Parliament took off soon after the release of the first tranche of 8 billion shillings of the development funds by the national treasury.

The money was released to the CDF board for disbursement to all constituencies whose projects had been approved.

The MPs are coming back to town at a time when the Senate has renewed the supremacy wars between the two houses.

Senators have accused Members of Parliament of undermining senate by ignoring their input in crucial bills like the mining bill which was passed by MPs and sent to the president without the senate’s approval.
