National Teachers Strike Kicks Off

This is after efforts of talks with the Teachers Service Commission(TSC) bore no fruits.

This comes despite a court order from the industrial court granted to the parents association to stop the strike.

KNUT secretary general Wilson Sossion has called on all teachers across the country not to report to work until all their demands are met by the government.

Meanwhile, KUPPET secretary general Akelo Misori and KUPPET treasurer Wicks Njenga, faulted TSC for not offering a tangible and realistic offer to teachers.

KUPPET faulted the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) for over-stepping their mandate.
