New twist as arrest warrant for private detective Jane Mugo lifted

The arrest warrant for Jane Mugo, a private detective has been lifted.

Nairobi Principal Magistrate Francis Andayi however ordered Mugo to appear in court on September 18.

She is to take plea on the said date for charges of robbery with violence, impersonation and threatening to kill.

The warrant of arrest had been issued from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on September 11.

Mugo through her lawyer said she has never been summoned to any police station or informed of any criminal case against her.

She also expressed willingness to appear in court revealing that she had apparently been admitted to hospital.

Jane Mugo insists that the warrant for her arrest was issued because of a case she is working on.

Though she was not forthcoming with details of the alleged case, she alleged that it revealed alleged corruption among top security officials in the Kenyan Government.
