Newly elected ACK Archbishop calls for dialogue between govt, opposition
Leaders from the government and the opposition must sit and discuss challenges facing the country through dialogue, ACK newly elected Archbishop Jackson Ole Sapit has urged.
Speaking during a thanksgiving meeting and service at ACK St Stephen’s Parish in Narok, Ole Sapit further called on retired Presidents Mwai Kibaki and Daniel Arap Moi to step in to avert violence now that 2017 General Election are near.
His sentiments were echoed by Narok Town MCA Benard Torome, who was among the leaders attending the prayers.
Ole Sapit will become the 6th top most leader of the ACK Church, which is the second largest church in the world, will assume office on 3rd July this year to head Nairobi’s All Saints Cathedral Church.
Ole Sapit revealed that a grand home coming celebration party will soon be held at his ancestral home at Rotian villagein Narok County.
