A Machakos court has sentenced a 44 year old man to life imprisonment for defiling his 10 year old nephew.

The boy later passed on after being taken to a children rescue centre in Machakos.

Nicholas Kioko Mutisya was found guilty of defiling his nephew between December 2017 and 1st week of January 2018.
The heinous act was committed in Muisuni village, Kyangumi location within Yathui, Mwala sub-county.
The ruling on Thursday was before Principal Magistrate Ann Wanyoike.
The Sexual Offenses Act No 3 of 2006 states: “A person who commits an act which causes penetration with a child is guilty of an offense termed defilement.”
It further states that a person who commits an offense of defilement with a child aged 11 or less shall upon conviction be sentenced to imprisonment for life.
