Njuri Ncheke calls for unity after polls

The Njuri Ncheke Council of Elders in Meru has appealed to both those who won and those who lost the elections to join hands and unite Kenyans.

Speaking at the Njuri Ncheke shrine in Nchiru, Tigania West Sub County, the elders led by their Vice Chairman, Peter Rutere, and Secretary General, Josephat Murangiri, urged leaders who lost various elective seats to accept the outcome and move on.

However, they declared their satisfaction on the way the elections were conducted and called upon the leaders to join hands for the unity and prosperity of the country.

The two criticized the move by the other factions of Njuri Ncheke led by former Secretary General, Phares Rutere, and Chairman N’toithingia for allegedly entering the said shrine and declaring themselves as bona fide officials, claiming to be against the Njuri Ncheke’s Constitution.
