Nkaissery To Be Sworn In As New Interior CS

The approval followed vetting and approval by the parliamentary committee on appointments that investigated and questioned him for the state position.

Major retired Nkaissery is now expected to leave his position as Kajiado Central MP, a constituency he has served for the past 12 years, for the cabinet secretary position.

Nkaissery has urged members of the Parliament and Kenyans at large to support his new mission in fighting insecurity.

The retired major general served as an army officer for more than 30 years, assistant minister in the defence ministry docket for 5 years, legislator for kajiado central for 12 years and has been a member of various parliamentary committees,  including committee on constitution and that on defence and foreign affairs.
