Maina was speakng when he opened Nakuru County health facilities.
He said there was need to ensure health facilities are well equipped with well trained health workers to assure on safety of patients
Maina noted that there are only 176 trained perioperative nurses in the country with Nakuru having only three, a number he said is very low in handling patients.
Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua who opened the conference said that the county is working on strategies of opening an operational center in each sub county to ensure patients easily access services.
