No survivors in Lake Nakuru chopper crash-KCCA
The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority now says that initial reports indicate that there are no survivors in the chopper crash in Lake Nakuru early today.
In a statement, the authority has also clarified that the aircraft that had five occupants, four male and one female, is operated by Flex Air Charters further dispelling earlier claims that it belongs to President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika confirmed that some of those on board were members of her communications team.
The aircraft had just left Jarika Hotel before it crashed.
The chopper was to later ferry journalists from the hotel to a Jubilee campaign rally in Narok.
The Director General Capt. Gilbert Kibe says investigations into the crash are underway.
