North Horr get a Ksh 450m level four hospital

The County Government of Marsabit has completed the construction of a multi-million shilling health facility in Kalacha, North Horr.

The health facility, which was constructed at a cost of Ksh 450 million, has also been equipped with modern state of art equipment and has fully operational departments including a theatre and an x-ray wing.

Speaking during the opening ceremony, Marasabit Governor, Ukur Yatani, said that 150 nurses and other health officers will be hired in this financial year to help arrest the current shortage being experienced in the county.

While noting that the hospital would now serve more than 500 women in labor compared to less than 100 before, the Governor further promised that the county government would also supply equipment to Moyale and Marsabit Hospitals.

Yatani further urged residents and staff of the hospital to take good care of the equipment.

On his part, North Horr MP, Chachu Ganya, said that the sub county can now enjoy the benefits of a Level Four Hospital with state of art equipment.
