NSSF Dismisses Fraud Claims In Tassia Project

Speaking during grilling by the parliamentary labour committee on Thursday, Mohamed stated that the NSSF is not planning to use its own funds to fund the Tassia estate project which is worth 5 billion shillings.

He says the project in Nairobi’s Eastlands area was to be funded by owners of plots where the infrastructure project will be done.

However the committee led by Matungu Member of Parliament questioned Mohamed on the claims raised by COTU boss Francis Atwoli against the project.

Labour Cabinet Secretary Kazungu Kambi on Tuesday suspended the controversial Tassia project to give the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) time to conclude their audit on the project.
