NTSA impounds bus filmed being driven recklessly in viral video
By GRACE KINUTHIA
A Mombasa bound bus was on Friday detained by NTSA officials in Voi after a viral video showing the driver recklessly overtaking a fuel tanker.
The bus, KCN 973R was filmed by a motorist overtaking at a speed of 120 kph along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway and almost colliding head-on with an oncoming trailer. The driver forced both trucks off the road in his reckless stunt.
Kenyans took to social media to condemn the driver and demanding the driver to be arrested. This was a shocking video especially with the high spate of deadly road accidents that claimed over 300 lives in December alone.
NTSA, while replying to a Twitter user who wanted to know if action would be taken on the driver confirmed that the issue had been dealt with.
Many Kenyans on Twitter wanted stern action taken against reckless drivers who endanger lives on the roads.
Kudos to @itsmuthama We need to expose these rogue motorists who are killing innocent Kenyans.

I think the situation as of now calls for all citizens to get involved and make their preferences considered. They should read a riot act to the drivers before they travel.
