NTSA suspends Northern E Coach Travelers Sacco license

The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has suspended the Northern E Coach Travelers Sacco over national security concerns.
The authority, in a statement to newsrooms on Thursday, accused the sacco of failing to comply with regulations put in place for Public Service Vehicles.
“Members of the public are hereby advised not to board any vehicles belonging to the suspended Sacco in order to avoid any inconveniences,” said NTSA boss George Njao.
“The Sacco has been directed to present all its 35 vehicles to the nearest police station with immediate effect. The Traffic Department has been advised to impound vehicles belonging to the Sacco.”
The Sacco was previously licensed to operate nine routes including; Garissa-Masalani-Bura, Nairobi-Dadaab-Thika-Mwingi-Garissa, Nairobi-Isiolo-Marsabit-Moyale-Mandera.
