Nyahururu brewers hidding illicit alcohol atop trees
Manufacturers of illicit brew in Nyahururu, Laikipia County have deviced new ways of hiding liquor following the frequent seizure and destruction by law enforcement officers.
The seemingly desperate brewers have resorted to hiding their liquor atop trees, bury it underneath beds and fire places.
On Thursday, police pounced on brew hidden on top of trees in Marmanet Forest while other containers were found buried beneath beds in Nyahururu.
Led by Nyahururu Sub County deputy Administration Police Commander, Ambrose Karugu, Kiamaina location Chief, Joseph Waithaka and his Mutitu counterpart Senior Chief, Eston Maina found the brew hidden under a bed in an isolated makeshift house and others on top of trees down the valley.
Police have sworn to hunt down and apprehend the suspects behind the manufacturing of the confiscated illegal brew.
