Nyamira Governor Nyagarama, deputy Nyaribo case referred to Kisumu

A case pitting Nyamira Deputy Governor Amos Nyaribo against his boss John Nyagarama was on Thursday referred to the Kisumu Labour and Relations Court.

In her ruling, Nyamira High Court Presiding Judge Esther Maina referred the matter to the Kisumu court citing the lack of jurisdiction in the matter.

The case, initially filed at Nyamira High Court by the deputy governor, involves an alleged pre-election Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Mr. Nyaribo and the county boss.

In the case, Mr. Nyaribo accuses Mr. Nyagarama of going against the MoU they had signed which allegedly stated that the county will be governed at 50/50.

He further faults the county chief for reinstating County Secretary Erik Aori without consulting or informing him.

The case is set for mentioning on November 19, 2018 at the Kisumu Labour and Relations Court.
