Nyamira man accused of killing pregnant wife, daughter to appear in court next year

A case where a man is accused of killing his pregnant wife and daughter in Nyamira County will be heard on April 2, 2019.

The accused, Joash Marube together with another person who was not in court are said to have brutally murdered Marube’s wife, Asenath Kerubo and Naomi Nyatichi Joash, the daughter, on March 19, 2015 at Tondori village in Masaba North, Nyamira county.

At the time of her murder, Ms. Kerubo was eight months pregnant.

Appearing before judge Esther Maina, DCI officer from Keroka Police Station, Jonathan Chepkonga presented to the court exhibits including the murder weapon.

They included a piece of wood, a jacket belonging to the accused person, knife, pair of shoes, padlock, piece of metal and a rope that was allegedly used to strangle the deceased.

Two witnesses, a doctor and an investigative officer will testify in court on the day of the hearing.
